Get Inspired

I contributed to the creation of animation and character designs for eight films depicting the Life of Buddha, displayed on rotoscope in the Buddha Gallery. Additionally, I developed characters for the circular projection featured in the Central Asian Antiquities section.

In creating the Buddha films, our aim was to emulate the aesthetic of Ajanta paintings and sculptures from the museum. Although we initially faced challenges with the clients' dissatisfaction over characters resembling the stylized figures in these references, we navigated the task by striking a balance between authenticity and visual appeal. It took time to finalize details like facial features, jewelry, and clothing, but after completing the initial characters, the process became more streamlined.

Final Films

The project underscored the value of teamwork for me, highlighting how continuous feedback exchanges at each stage allowed us to rectify errors and consistently gain fresh perspectives, ultimately leading to a higher quality outcome.
